Hotel accommodations are available all over Thailand and can range from a few dollars a night to a few hundred.
As a solo traveler backpacking through Southeast Asia, I decided to spend a little extra cash on my accommodations and budgeted about $30 USD a night.
Most of the hotels I chose to stay at were private rooms & included continental breakfasts.

But there are a few things I've realized I cannot live without:
Wifi, as I never purchased a Thai phone or a SIM card overseas
Hot water, because cold showers suck!
American style plumbing. How are people getting by without toilet paper?!
