How My Deztination Engagements Work & Cancellation Policy


My Deztination offers two distinct categories of services:

  1. Professional Relocation & Advisory Engagements

  2. Tours & Experiences

Each category operates under different terms due to the nature of the work involved.


Relocation & Advisory Engagements (Including VIP Packages)

Relocation services are structured as retainer-based advisory and implementation engagements, not pay-per-task or pay-per-outcome services.

Once an engagement begins, the retainer is applied immediately to:

  • Strategic planning and feasibility analysis

  • Advisory responsibility and coordination

  • Research, preparation, and sequencing of next steps

  • Reserved availability and priority access

  • Ongoing guidance tailored to client readiness and circumstances

Relocation work is delivered over time, often before any physical relocation occurs. Outcomes, timelines, and the order in which services are used may evolve based on government processes, third-party providers, and client decisions.

Important Notes:

  • Relocation engagements begin upon booking

  • Services are not dependent on physical arrival in Mexico

  • Decisions to pause, delay, or change plans are considered client-directed changes, not non-delivery of services

  • Unused value does not expire and remains available as a non-expiring credit for future My Deztination relocation, concierge, or advisory services

Because time, expertise, planning, and availability are committed immediately, retainers are not refunded once work has begun.


Tours & Experiences (Non-Relocation Services)

Tours, activities, and experiences (including relocation tours, sightseeing tours, and adventure experiences) operate under a separate cancellation policy, as they are event-based services.

Tour Cancellation Policy

  • Guests may cancel up to 14 days before the scheduled start time for a full refund minus processing fees

  • Guests may cancel within 24 hours of booking for a full refund if the booking was made more than 48 hours before the scheduled start time

  • Cancellations made outside these windows are not eligible for refunds


Weather Policy (Tours & Experiences Only)

Tours and experiences operate rain or shine, unless weather conditions are deemed unsafe.

  • If conditions are unsafe, the experience will be rescheduled

  • If rescheduling is not possible due to ongoing unsafe conditions, the tour amount minus booking and processing fees will be refunded

This policy applies only to tours and experiences, not to relocation or advisory engagements.


A Note on Fairness & Flexibility

My Deztination is committed to clarity, integrity, and long-term client relationships. When plans change, relocation clients are never left without options — unused engagement value remains available as future credit so support is there when and if it becomes relevant again.
